AAV VP1, VP2 & VP3 antibody was raised in rabbit using residues 75-86 [TPWGYFDFNRFHC] of major coat protein VP3 [AAV 2], residues 278-289 of capsid protein VP1 [AAV 6], and residues 277-288 of capsid AAV 3] as the immunogen.
Store at 4 deg C for short term storage. Aliquot and store at -20 deg C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

This product contains sodium azide as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.

Biological Significance
Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a small virus which infects humans and some other primate species. AAV is not currently known to cause disease and consequently the virus causes a very mild immune response. AAV can infect both dividing and non-dividing cells and may incorporate its genome into that of the host cell.
