IHC, WB
Immunogen
AKT antibody was raised in Rabbit using a KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the N-term region of human AKT as the immunogen
Western blot analysis using AKT antibody (70R-49357)
Western blot analysis of AKT expression in HeLa (A); A549 (B); Raw264.7 (C); NIH3T3 (D); mouse lung (E); PC12 (F); rat heart (G) whole cell lysates.
AKT antibody
Western blot analysis using AKT antibody (70R-49357)
Western blot analysis of AKT expression in HeLa (A); A549 (B); Raw264.7 (C); NIH3T3 (D); mouse lung (E); PC12 (F); rat heart (G) whole cell lysates.
Immunohistochemical analysis using AKT antibody (70R-49357)
Immunohistochemical analysis of AKT staining in human brain formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

General Information
Biological Significance
AKT is activated in cells exposed to diverse stimuli such as hormones, growth factors, and extracellular matrix components. The activation mechanism remains to be fully characterised but occurs downstream of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI-3K).
