Cardiac Markers
Cardiac markers are proteins which are commonly expressed by myocardial cells and released into the circulating blood upon cell necrosis, usually during a cardiac injury or infraction, antibodies to these proteins are then released by the immune system. These cardiac markers then play an essential role in the risk assessment and treatment of patients displaying symptoms such as chest discomfort consistent with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
Cardiac Markers may include enzymes, isoenzymes, isoforms and muscle proteins. They are limited in their usefulness for diagnosing the acute phase of coronary syndrome due to the fact that depending on the marker, it can take between 2 to 24 hours for the level to increase in the blood, plus additional time required for laboratory tests, however they can be a useful tool for monitoring the patients response to treatment and recuperation progress.
Fitzgerald Industries offers a wide range of high quality cardiac marker antigens and cardiac marker antibodies of the highest quality and available in conjugated form to tags such as Fluorescein (FITC), biotin, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), PE and many more. Our cardiac marker antibodies are available in monoclonal and polyclonal forms and are expressed in most commonly used host animals and highly specific for human cardiac markers.
We specialize in a broad range of cardiac marker antibody pairs which are excellent for use in assay development and have been validated for coating and detection pairs in sandwich immunoassays such as ELISA and lateral flow.
Some of our most popular cardiac marker antibodies include:
Troponin I antibody (Cardiac) Released into the bloodstream during cardiac infractions or other injuries, this is one of the most popular of our large range of monoclonal cardiac markers, it is protein A purified and suitable for use in a wide range of immunological assays.
Our validated Troponin I antibody pairs include:
CKMB antibody CKMB has a short duration in the bloodstream after cardiac injury, therefore it cannot be used for late diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction but can be used to suggest ongoing issues if its levels rise again. This CKMB antibody is protein G purified and specific for human CKMB.
Our validated CKMB antibody pairs include:
| Capture Antibody | Detection Antibody |
|---|---|
| CKMB mAb 10-1364 | CKMB mAb 10-1363 |
| CKMB mAb 10-C40A | CKMM pAb 70-XG47 |
| CKMB mAb 10-C40B | CKMM pAb 70-XG47 |
Myoglobin antibody Myoglobin is only found in the bloodstream following muscle injury, making it an important biomarker when there in a suspected myocardial infarction. This Myoglobin antibody is suitable for use in ELISA, as well as matched pair immunoassays with its matched pair Myoglobin antibody.
Our validated Myoglobin antibody pairs also include:
| Capture Antibody | Detection Antibody |
|---|---|
| Myoglobin mAb 10-1362 | Myoglobin mAb 10-1361 |
| Myoglobin mAb 10-M50C | Myoglobin mAb 10-M50D |
| Myoglobin mAb 10-M50A | Myoglobin mAb 10-M50B |
Troponin T antibody (Cardiac) Troponin T is a part of the troponin complex. And a Troponin T assay is a common diagnostic tool. This Troponin T antibody is suitable for use in BIAcore and ELISA assays.
Our validated Troponin T antibody pairs include:
BNP antibody Brain natriuretic peptide has been approved as a cardiac for acute congestive heart failure, measuring levels of BNP in the blood gives a good indication of the patients chances of survival. This BNP antibody is recommended for use in ELISA and other immunoassays as well as Western blots.
Our validated BNP antibody pairs include:
| Capture Antibody | Detection Antibody |
|---|---|
| BNP mAb 10-7879 | BNP mAb 10-7880 |
| BNP mAb 10-7879 | BNP mAb 10-7881 |
| BNP mAb 10-7879 | NT-proBNP mAb 10-N36A |
We also list antibodies, proteins and antibody pairs for many more targets including PAPPA, Cystatin C, D-dimer, FABP. Why not visit our homepage today to see our full range of cardiac markers products
