General Information
| Biological Significance | The avidin horseradish peroxidase is commonly used as a second step for detection of biotinylated antibodies by ELISA and immunohistochemical staining. Avidin binds to biotin with high affinity. [Note: Sodium azide is an inhibitor of horseradish peroxidase enzymatic activity and should not be added to the AV-HRP diluent.] |
