General Information
| Biological Significance | Bovine Serum Albumin is acetylated to inactivate contaminating nucleases and proteases. It is suitable for use as an enzyme stabilizer during purification or for dilution of restriction endonucleases and nucleic acid modifying enzymes. BSA is also commonly used in DNA and protein labeling experiments as a blocking agent to minimize background. |
