Method of Purification Calf Intestinal Alkaline Phosphatase antibody was purified by ion exchange chromatography followed by dialysis.
Form & Buffer Supplied as a liquid in 20 mM Potassium Phosphate, 150 mM Sodium Chloride, pH 7.2, 10 mg/ml BSA (IgG and Protease free), with 0.01% NaN3 as a preservative.

Usage Recommendations ELISA: 1:4,000-1:20,000, WB: 1:500-1:2,000

Storage & Safety

Storage Store at 4 deg C until reconstitution. Following reconstitution aliquot and freeze at -20 deg C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Biological Significance Alkaline phosphatase is a hydrolase enzyme responsible for removing phosphate groups from many types of molecules, including nucleotides, proteins, and alkaloids. The process of removing the phosphate group is called dephosphorylation. As the name suggests, alkaline phosphatases are most effective in an alkaline environment. It is sometimes used synonymously as basic phosphatase.
