CD8 antibody (allophycocyanin) (61R-1705)
Rat monoclonal CD8 antibody (allophycocyanin)
Overview
Overview
| Synonyms | Monoclonal CD8 antibody, Anti-CD8 antibody, CD 8, Ly-3 antibody, Lyt-3 antibody, CD-8, Ly-C antibody, CD8 beta antibody, CD-8 antibody, CD 8 antibody, CD8, CD8 antibody (APC) |
|---|---|
| Specificity | Mouse |
| Applications | FC, IHC |
| Assay Information | A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 105 to 108 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. |

General Information
| Biological Significance | The H35-17.2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse CD8beta molecule. The CD8beta chain associates with the CD8 alpha chain to form the CD8 alpha/beta heterodimer expressed on the surface of a majority of thymocytes, and on peripheral cytotoxic alpha beta TCR T cells. CD8 binds to MHC class I and plays a role in T cell development and activation of mature T cells. |
