Ciita antibody was raised in rabbit using CIITA peptide corresponding to a region near the N-terminus of the human protein conjugated to KLH as the immunogen.
Store at -20 deg C. Aliquot and freeze at -20 deg C or below for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Biological Significance
CIITA is a human gene which encodes a protein called the class II, major histocompatibility complex, transactivator. Mutations in this gene are responsible for the bare lymphocyte syndrome in which the immune system is severely compromised and cannot effectively fight infection.
