General Information
| Biological Significance | 2',3'-cyclic nucleotide 3'-phosphodiesterase (CNPase) is associated with brain tubulin and acts as a microtubule-associated protein in promoting microtubule assembly and distribution. CNPase is used as a marker of cell differentiation in the CNS as it is expressed primarily in committed oligodendroglial progenitors and terminally-differentiated oligodendrocytes. |
