General Information
| Biological Significance | The complement C1r subcomponent mediates the proteolytic cleavage of HP/haptoglobin in the endoplasmic reticulum. It is highly expressed in the placenta, liver, kidney, and pancreas, moderately in the lung, spleen, prostate, ovary, colon, and PBL, and weakly in heart, skeletal muscle, thymus, testis, and small intestine. |
