Cortactin antibody was raised in Rabbit using a KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide encompassing a sequence within the center region of human Cortactin (pY421) as the immunogen
Western blot analysis using Cortactin antibody (70R-51531)
Western blot analysis of Cortactin (pY421) expression in HeLa UV-treated (A); NIH3T3 H2O2-treated (B) whole cell lysates.

Western blot analysis using Cortactin antibody (70R-51531)
Western blot analysis of Cortactin (pY421) expression in HeLa UV-treated (A); NIH3T3 H2O2-treated (B) whole cell lysates.
Immunohistochemical analysis using Cortactin antibody (70R-51531)
Immunohistochemical analysis of Cortactin (pY421) staining in human breast cancer formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0). The section was then incubated with the antibody at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

General Information
Biological Significance
Cortactin has two roles: (1) regulating the interactions between components of adherens-type junctions and (2) organizing the cytoskeleton and cell adhesion structures of epithelia and carcinoma cells.
