Biological Significance
Dehydronorketamine, also known as DHNK, is a secondary metabolite of the anesthetic drug ketamine. Ketamine is widely used in human and veterinary medicine for the induction and maintenance of general anesthesia and off label for treatment of depression. Ketamine is also abused at parties or raves as a noted dissociative club drug.
