IFN gamma protein (Mouse) (30R-2264)

Purified recombinant Mouse IFN gamma protein

Synonyms Interferon-gamma protein, IFN-g protein
Specificity Human
Species Mouse
Protein Type Recombinant
Applications Functional Assay
Assay Information A test is defined as the amount (ug) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 ul. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 105 to 108 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.

General Information

Biological Significance Mouse IFN-gamma is a ~20 kDa factor produced by activated T, B and NK cells, and is an anti-viral and anti-parasitic cytokine. IFN-gamma, in synergy with other cytokines such as TNF- alpha, inhibits proliferation of normal and transformed cells. Immunomodulatory effects of IFN-gamma are exerted on a wide range of cell types expressing the high affinity receptors for IFN-gamma. Glycosylation of IFN-gamma does not affect its biological activity.
