General Information
| Biological Significance | Il33 also known as Interleukin-33. Il33 induces production of large amounts of IL5 and IL13 by group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s), for initiation of allergic inflammation shortly after exposure to allergens or infection with parasites or viruses. Il33 appears to function as an alarmin (alarm signal) rapidly released from producing cells upon cellular damage or cellular stress. Recombinant rat Il33, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
