|Biological Significance||MPG (DNA-3-methyladenine glycosylase) belongs to the DNA glycosylase MPG family. This protein initiates base excision repair in DNA by removing a wide variety of alkylated, deaminated, and lipid peroxidation-induced purine adducts. Recombinant human MPG protein, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.|
