General Information
| Biological Significance | Pgf, also known as placenta growth factor isoform 1, is abundant in trophoblastic giant cells associated with the parietal yolk sac at early stages of embryogenesis. The secretion of Pgf by trophoblastic giant cells is likely to be the signal which initiates and co-ordinates vascularization in the deciduum and placenta during early embryogenesis. Recombinant mouse Pgf, fused to His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. |
