Primary Antibodies

Primary antibodies are used to detect a target of interest by binding directly to an epitope on a protein within a sample. Any binding interaction between a primary antibody and the protein of interest is detected using a secondary antibody which will bind to the primary antibody, and thus the protein. Primary antibodies can be used in numerous applications such as Western blotting, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluoresence, ELISA, and Lateral Flow.
