Western blot analysis using TrkA antibody (20R-TR013)
Western blot analysis of EGF-stimulated A431 cel lysate probed with anti-TrkA (2 ug/ml)
Immunohistochemical staining using TrkA antibody (20R-TR013)
Paraffin-embedded tissues of the hippocampal region (Fig. 1) and adrenal gland’s medulla (Fig. 2) were prepared using heat-induced epitope retrieval in citrate buffer, pH 6.0. Immunostaining was performed using a 1:200 dilution of Cat. No. 06-574, Anti-TrkA Reactivity was detected using the IHC-Select Detection Kit. Immunoreactivity is expressed in human brain regions of higher cognitive processes and inside the adrenal medulla without nuclear involvement.

General Information
Biological Significance
TrkA, apparent molecular weight 140 kDa, is a high affinity nerve growth factor (NGF). The Trk proto-oncogene family contains four members, TrkA, Tr kb, TrkC, and TrkE, which are variably expressed throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems. TrkA binds to nerve growth factor (NGF) and autophosphorylates on tyrosine residues (Tyr490, Tyr674, Tyr675, Tyr751 and Tyr785) to activate multiple downstream effector proteins.
