VE Cadherin antibody (10R-V102b)
Mouse monoclonal VE Cadherin antibody
Overview
Overview
| Synonyms | Monoclonal VE Cadherin antibody, Anti-VE Cadherin antibody, VE-Cadherin antibody, Vascular Endothelian antibody |
|---|---|
| Specificity | Human |
| Applications | FC, ICC, IHC-P, WB |
| Immunogen | VE Cadherin antibody was raised in Mouse using HUVEC cells as the immunogen. |
| Assay Information | IHC: Buffered formalin fixation is recommended with a fixation period of < 12 hours. High heat antigen retrieval in citrate buffer is suggested. Antibody can also be used to label acetone-fixed cryostat sections or cells. FC: Use in the presence of Ca ++. PBS/2-5mM EDTA is recommended for cell detachment. WB: Non-reducing conditions may be needed, 2-5 mM Ca++ required in buffer. |

General Information
| Biological Significance | Human Vascular Endothelial (VE)-cadherin is a calcium-dependent adhesion molecule strictly located at cell to cell junctions. VE-cadherin is present in all types of endothelium (veins, arteries, capillary and large vessels). Specificity determined by immunoprecipitation from a detergent extract of biotinylated cells. Antibody binding requires Ca++. |
